Sustainability
In the interests of sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint, the C5 Aircross introduces a range of sustainable solutions, starting with seat covers made from recycled fabrics. Overall, the car contains 47 kg of plastic made from recycled or bio-sourced materials, 160 kg of recycled metal parts and 20% recycled tyres. It is also the first car in the world to incorporate vine shoots into its design (clear plastic in the door and console storage areas incorporates 20% vine shoots, sourced from organic vineyards in Burgundy and processed locally). Lastly, the C5 Aircross contains no leather, and the use of chrome is kept to a minimum.
French quality and expertise
Designed and engineered in France, the C5 Aircross is assembled at Citroën's historic plant in Rennes (Brittany).
